ACA Senior Choir Performance
On September 12th, the ACA Senior Choir celebrated its 10th year, along with the Moon Festival and honoring the 70th Anniversary of the ending of World War II. The choir performed a variety of songs and over 200 guests enjoyed a delicious lunch of Chinese food and moon cakes. The moon cake fundraising project brought in about $800 this year. Special thanks to our dedicated volunteers who spent time making the moon cakes. We also thank those who supported and purchased the moon cakes.

DAP Sizzlin' Summer Picnic
Article contributed by Erc Chau
On August 23rd, our young professional group, DAP-Detroit Asian Professionals, gathered on Belle Isle for a fun sizzlin' DAP Picnic. Over 50 young professionals showed up, many for the first time, to network in a fun, family environment. There was a diversity of professionals was well as ethnic backgrounds. Led by core members Kaikai Chen, Jay Zheng, Danni Wu, Haochi Li, Sylvia Geng, and Eric Chau, they prepared BBQ food, designed games, (water balloon toss, team relays, ironman races, tug-o-war), and produced party favors for all attendees. ACA Board Directors Bernard Wong, Sue Sung, and Angela Wang Beasinger were in attendance to support the effort. With a sincere "Thank You" to Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority's financial support, we were able to connect these young adults in a positive way. We're planning our next series of events including our Launch Party in a couple of months! If you're interested in being a part of this growing community with high energy and positive young professionals, please contact Eric Chau at echau@acaccc.org.
