Tobacco Health Survery

ACA is working with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to conduct a survey of community members around the issue of tobacco. The purpose of this survey is to assess knowledge, beliefs, and behavior around tobacco use in the Asian American population in Michigan. 美华协会正与密西根州健康与人口服务部一起进行一个关于烟草议题的社区成员调查问卷。这个调查问卷的目的是了解密西根的亚裔人群对烟草产品的使用以及了解情况。

Why should I participate? Very little health information is available to Michigan’s Asian community, so your participation helps collect data so we can provide better services for you and your family; the data we collect will help us apply for future quit tobacco-related funding for our community; your participation will help us learn about ways we can help people quit tobacco, making our community healthier!

Enrollment for 2018 Affordable Care ACT (Obamacare)

2018 open Enrollment runs from November 1, 2017 to December 15, 2017.

Outside of the Open Enrollment Period, you generally can enroll in a health insurance plan only if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. You're eligible if you have certain life events, like getting married, having a baby, or losing other health coverage.

Job-based plans may have different Open Enrollment Periods. Check with your employer.

You can apply and enroll in Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) any time of year.

Please check out www.healthcare.gov or call our Navigator at 313-831-1790 or 248-585-9343 for additional resources and information.

The navigator services at ACA are made possible by the grant secured by EMU-Healthy Asian Americans Project (健康亞裔美國人項目).

ACA Obama Health Care now in process

Only 20 days left for Marketplace open enrollment or Obamacare registration (deadline December 15th).

For those residents that haven't registered for their 2018 health insurance, free registration is available at the Chinese Community Center or the Detroit office. For those who already have Obamacare from 2017, we recommend you to check your information to ensure your 2018 health insurance premium tax credit is updated so you won't be overcharged.
