The Detroit Service Center and Chinese Community Center will be closed for the Holidays from Wednesday, December 24, 2014, through Thursday, January 1, 2015. Both Centers will re-open at their regular office hours on Friday, January 2, 2015.
Celebrating 40 Years of ACA commemorative book available for pick up
This hardcover book commemorates 40 years of the Association of Chinese Americans' history and is filled with photos, anecdotes, and reflections from the founders, members and supporters of ACA over the years. Members can pick up one complimentary copy (one copy per household) from the Chinese Community Center (32585 Concord Drive, Madison Heights, MI 48071) during regular office hours. Starting March 2014 the Hot Lunch Program at the Chinese Community Center will be provided on only Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The main meal will be Chinese food with milk, beverages, fruit and bread. Go to the calendar to see this month's menu as it becomes available.
Comcast Digital Connectors Program (Class II) Sundays 2pm-6pm and Fridays 6pm-8pm starting Sun., Sept. 28 CLASS IS FULL
This class meets twice per week and educates students (ages 14-21 yrs. old) in digital, media, and financial literacy as well as improves their leadership, community outreach, and public-speaking skills.

ACA Lunar New Year Banquet Sat., Feb. 21
Participants will enjoy a multi-course gourmet Chinese dinner along with entertainment as they welcome in the Year of the Sheep. Time and location to be determined.
ACA Lunar New Year Lantern Festival Community Fair Sat., Feb. 28 at 11am
Come celebrate the Year of the Sheep at this free event open to the public. There will be cultural performances, Chinese New Year food sales, games and activities for the kids, and much more. Click here for further information.

Daily Conversation ESL Mondays Sept. 8 - June 15 at 1pm
Students will gain confidence and improve their skills in carrying on every day conversations. Classes will be taught in English with Mandarin translation. Click here for details.
Citizenship - N400 Class Tuesdays Sept. 9 - Jan. 26 at 1:00pm
This class will focus on the interview questions from the Form N400 part of the Us. Citizenship Naturalization Test. Classes will be taught in English with Mandatin translation. Click here for details.
1,000 Questions ESL Class Wednesdays Sept. 10 - January 27 at 1pm (This class has been extended until Jan. 27)
Students will practice speaking and listening in English using 1,000 basic questions and their answers. Class will be taught in English and Mandarin. Click here for more information.

Citizenship - 100 Questions Class Tuesdays Feb. 3- June 16 at 1:30pm
Students will learn and practice answering the "100 Questions" related to U.S. government and civics in preparation for taking the U.S. Citizenship Naturalization Test. Classes will be taught in English with Mandarin translation. Click here for details.
Advanced Writing ESL Class Thursdays Jan. 15- April 16 at 10am
Students will improve their writing in English skills through writing exercises and lessons developed to meet their needs. Classes will be taught in English with Mandarin translation as needed. Click here for information.
Thursday Night Ballroom Dance Class On the first and third Thursday of each month at 7pm
