Announcements 

Celebrating 40 Years of ACA commemorative book available for pick up

This hardcover book commemorates 40 years of the Association of Chinese Americans' history and is filled with photos, anecdotes, and reflections from the founders, members and supporters of ACA over the years. Members can pick up one complimentary copy (one copy per household) from the Chinese Community Center (32585 Concord Drive, Madison Heights, MI 48071) during regular office hours. Members can donate $10 for the commemorative book or purchase additional copies at $12 per book. Starting March 2014 the Hot Lunch Program at the Chinese Community Center will be provided on only Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The main meal will be Chinese food with milk, beverages, fruit and bread. Go to the calendar to see this month's menu as it becomes available.

 

Upcoming Events/Activities

Health Screenings at Chinese Community Center 9am-12pm

Free health screenings will be conducted by the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) Wayne State University Chapter on these Saturdays in 2016: Feb. 6, March 5, April 9.

Comcast Digital Connectors Program (2015-2016) starts Sun., Sept. 27 (runs until May 2016) 

For the fourth year ACA is partnering with Comcast to ofer this program for children ages 14-21 interested in digital technology. Class will meet Fridays 6pm-8pm and Sundays 2pm-6pm. Medicare and Medicaid Workshop Mon., Feb 8 at 11:30am

Daily Conversation Mondays 1pm Sept 21-June 13 

Students will practice speaking English to improve skills in carrying on everyday conversations. Click here for additional information.

Citizenship N400 Tuesdays 1:30pm Sept 22-Dec 8

Students will study and practice answering interview questions from the Form N400 in preparation of taking the U.S. Naturalization Exam. Click here for details.

Citizenship 100 Questions Tuesdays 1:30pm Jan 12-June 14

Students will study and practice answering the "100 Questions" related to American history, geography, government structure, and Constitutional issues in preparation of taking the U.S. Naturalization Exam. Click here for further information.
